Power, Presence and Personality is a senior executive leadership initiative established in 2015 by Ruth Hald and award-winning actress Ellen Hillingsø. It is designed for experienced leaders navigating senior executive leadership transitions and challenges where expectations, visibility, complexity and stakes are high.
The programme evolved from their shared work with senior leaders facing broader mandates, increased visibility and heightened organisational scrutiny. Over the years, participants have joined from across Europe, the UK, the US, China and India, reflecting the programme’s relevance across diverse cultural and organisational contexts.
Co-created and facilitated by Ruth and Ellen, the programme combines business psychology with the discipline, precision and situational awareness of the actor’s craft.
The work centres on executive presence and leadership impact. It focuses on how leaders are perceived, how they communicate in decisive moments and how they respond under pressure.
Participants are already strong performers and proven leaders. They bring executive presence, yet recognise that leadership at the most senior levels often requires recalibration, fine-tuning and reorientation.
Over twelve months, participants engage in a rigorous and highly personalised process designed to strengthen clarity, authority and followership in real leadership contexts. Through individual reflection and focused practice, they deepen credibility, composure and impact, while remaining grounded in their individuality and integrity. This enables genuine followership while allowing leaders to engage in ways that resonate personally and align with organisational priorities and external realities.

Power, Presence and Personality bridges the gap between insight and the capacity to act on it. It develops presence from within, shaped through connection, disciplined practice and respect for the responsibility of leadership.
As the most comprehensive format of this work, the full programme runs over one year. Tailored versions are also available for small groups, teams and individual leaders, built on the same core principles and adapted to context and scope.
