ONE-ON-ONE ADVISORY
THINK CLEARLY. ACT DECISIVELY. LEAD WITH IMPACT.
One-on-One Executive Coaching and Advisory offers senior leaders a confidential space to reflect, recalibrate and move forward with clarity and intent.
The work is typically initiated during periods of transition and change – when roles expand, complexity increases, or feedback calls for reflection and adjustment. Each engagement is anchored in clear outcomes and business relevance, translating reflection into action that strengthens presence, impact and judgment.
The process combines strategic dialogue with a deep understanding of human dynamics and the realities of executive life. The work ultimately bridges the subtle gap between insight and the ability to act on it – where reflection turns into action.
HOW I WORK
The approach combines structured insight with reflection. Depending on the goals, psychometric assessments, 360 feedback and stakeholder interviews may be included to create a data-based foundation for development. These perspectives provide clarity – on values, strengths and potential blind spots – supporting leaders in bringing greater focus, perspective and the ability to respond with choice rather than habit.
ASSESSMENT
Assessment and development are two sides of the same coin: clear, dynamic insight provides the foundation for focused growth and lasting impact.
A long-standing part of my work with senior leaders has been the use of Hogan Assessments, a rigorous framework for understanding strengths, risks and development needs. As one of the first practitioners to introduce and certify in Hogan in Denmark in 2008, I have relied on it for more than 15 years as a trusted foundation in executive and team development, as well as in succession development and senior executive assessment.
In addition, I have chosen to work with Deeper Signals, a next-generation assessment tool designed to unlock accurate personal insights and support leadership growth. I am also certified in The Bates Executive Presence Index (EXPI), FIRO-B, WorkPlace Big Five and NEO-PI-R.
By combining precise assessment with dynamic, easy-to-interpret digital feedback, it provides the opportunity for engaging, personalized AI support and challenge between meetings.
IN PRACTICE
One-on-one advisory and executive coaching typically consists of a series of meetings over 3–12 months, with or without assessment and stakeholder interviews, depending on the goals and context. Progress and value are continuously reviewed, and when relevant the HR Business Partner or direct manager is involved to ensure alignment and impact.
POWER, PRESENCE AND PERSONALITY
STRENGTHEN THE PRESENCE. STAY TRUE TO THE INDIVIDUAL.
Power, Presence and Personality is a senior executive leadership that runs since 2015. It is designed for experienced leaders navigating senior-level challenges – where expectations, visiblity, and complexity increases and stakes are high.
Unlike traditional programs on executive presence, Power, Presence and Personality goes beyond surface polish, body language and presentation technique.
The work focuses on how leaders connect, communicate and inspire confidence – in ways that are credible, personal, and effective across diverse contexts.
Co-created and facilitated by Ruth Hald and award-winning actress Ellen Hillingsø, the program brings together business psychology and the art and craft of the actor in a uniquely practical format.
Over a period of twelve months, participants work through a highly peronalized process that blends individual coaching and assessment with intensive small-group sessions. Each group consists of just six senior leaders – a size that ensures candour, depth, and genuine air time.
MASTER CLASSES
The group work is experiental and direct. Participants are invited to explore how they come across both in high-stake situations and when they are not on stage to refine their presence through practice, observation, and dialogue. This immersive format allows for visible progress within the sessions themselves – not lectures, but real work.
Additional sessions with a rhetorician and a voice expert deepen the focus on clarity of expression and professional impact.
Our participants are already strong performers and proven leaders. Yet they recognize that leadership at the senior levels requires recalibration – a deeper understanding of how they are seen and what they evoke in others.
We work on the subtle nuances that shape perception and influence – the how, not the what. Through individual reflection and on-the-floor training, participants gain the awareness and tools to strengthen credibility, composure, and impact – without losing their individuality or integrity.
PROGRAMME DEPTH AND IMPACT
Power, Presence and Personality is not about ”acting” or building a brand. The work involves bridging the gap that can exist between insight and the capacity to act on it. It is about understanding how presence is built from within – and expressed through connection, disciplined craft, and respect for the role and responsibility of leadership.
As our flagship program, Power, Presence and Personality offers the most comprehensive experience. However, we also provide shorter formats for smaller groups, teams, or individual leaders who wish to work with the same core principles in a more condensed format.
Those tailored versions maintain the essence of Power, Presence and Personality – combining deep reflection with practice and feedback – while adapting scope and duration to context and need.
TEAM DEVELOPMENT
LEAD TOGETHER. SEE CLEARLY. PERFOM AS ONE.
Executive teams succeed when they can think clearly together, make aligned decisions, and act with focus and resolve. Yet most leadership teams operate under conditions that make this difficult: shifting strategy, pressure on performance, increased interdependence, and the demand for speed without losing judgment.
My work with leadership teams creates the space to step back, see the larger picture, and strengthen the collective capacity to lead. The process is high-trust, structured and business-relevant — designed to help teams understand who they are as a unit, what they are here to achieve, and how they will deliver on that mandate. It sits precisely at the intersection of business goals and human dynamics — the place where executive teams often need the most support, and where better conversations translate directly into better outcomes.
WHAT WE FOCUS ON
While every engagement is tailored, three themes consistently shape the work: Connection and trust High-performing teams are built on relationships that allow for transparency, constructive disagreement and mutual support. Strengthening these foundations unlocks collaboration and accountability.
Alignment on purpose and direction Executive teams need a shared understanding of their mandate, priorities and constraints. Clarity at this level is what enables coherent execution across the organisation.
Execution and collective impact Leadership teams thrive when they have the ability — and discipline — to translate intent into coordinated action, especially under pressure or in periods of transition.
These principles apply whether the team is newly formed, stepping into a new strategic horizon, or navigating organisational change.
HOW I WORK
The approach blends structured insight with executive-level conversation. Depending on the goals, it may include:
- Individual reflections or interviews to build clarity and shared understanding
-
Observation of how the team works in practice
-
Carefully facilitated team sessions to surface perspectives and move the group toward alignment
-
Optional use of validated psychometric assessment tools to deepen insight into team strengths, patterns and potential blind spots
The work always links personal awareness to collective performance — and insight to action.
WITH OR WITHOUT ASSESSMENT
Some teams benefit from the additional clarity psychometric assessment provides. Tools such as Hogan or Deeper Signals can illuminate strengths, risk patterns and cultural drivers, helping the team understand its shared profile and the dynamics that shape decisionmaking.
Other teams prefer a more dialogue-based approach, focusing on purpose, relationships and ways of working. Both pathways lead to deeper connection and more intentional leadership.
TYPICAL OUTCOMES
While each team begins in a different place, common outcomes include:
-
A clearer, shared identity as a leadership team
-
Greater trust and openness
-
Alignment on priorities, expectations and collective commitments
-
A realistic understanding of the team’s strengths and potential derailers
-
Stronger ability to act as one leadership body — not a group of individuals
The overall aim is simple: to help leadership teams perform at their best, especially when the organisation most relies on them.
